The Global Investment Group (GIG) is St Andrews' independently run Student investment society. With over 300 paid members, the GIG is one of the University's largest societies. The GIG has distinct aims within the St Andrews community:
- Help facilitate the visits of banks and institutions to St Andrews for recruitment events and workshops
- Manage and maintain the growth of an investment fund. This provides real life experience in fund management: a rarity for a university club.
- Organize events for St Andrews students to network and share experiences with careers in finance and business
